Notes

It is worthy of note that the 10th Texas Infantry is listed as independent from their Consolidated counterparts, the 6th Texas Infantry & 15th Texas Dismounted Cavalry. Col. Mills was obviously aware of the impending separation of his regiment from the consolidation, eventhough it was three days off from occuring, with the promotion of Col. Hiram Granbury as Brig. Gen. It is also worth note, that had Col. Roger Mills not been seriously wounded at Tunnel Hill, he would have most assuredly be the one to be promoted to the command of the Brigade.

The above receipt or return, is apparently the last of the remnants of odd caliber weapons that were picked up from the battlefields of Missionary Ridge and Ringgold Gap; if you refer to the Ordnance Report of November 25, 1863, you will see that enfields and other weapons were picked up in the heat of battle. The other items were probably turned in due to various degrees of deficianies.
