Notes

The large amount of ammunition on this invoice most likely indicates that Granbury's Brigade was gearing up in preparation for the anticpated campaign at hand; although 11 percussion caps were included inside each bundle of 10 cartridges, it is interesting that an extra 1,000 caps were received. Although listed in earlier invoices, notice that the ammunition boxes that carried the cartridges were listed seperately.

Note that "Cartridge Box Belts were listed, instead of Cartridge Box Sling. It is also peculiar that there are "Austrians" listed, then on the same line, "Guns Cal 54." That could either be an oversight, or that the latter weapons were Mississippi Rifles.

This is the last known ordnance issue to Granbury's Brigade, prior to the commencement of the Atlanta Campaign, just two weeks later.
